The OS II GOLD is a hybrid high-speed camera that can switch between continuous streaming through a processor and capturing bursts to its onboard memory. In recording mode, hubs are needed to power and control the camera.

In XS-Link mode, the OS II GOLD connects via the XS-Link Hub to RT III Compact and RT III+IV Rack processors, enabling live streaming and synchronized control for high-speed video recording
In 10G Ethernet mode, the OS II GOLD offers two versatile options: it can operate autonomously when connected to IDT hubs, storing footage internally for later retrieval, or it can stream and record high-speed video via Ethernet using the powerful Viper Processor for advanced control and processing
