IDT (Integrated Design Tools) was founded in 1997 by Professor Luiz Lourenco. The company grew out of his Particle Image Velocimetry research, where no existing camera could meet the demands of the work.
IDT designs, engineers, and manufactures high-speed digital cameras and imaging systems from its headquarters in Pasadena, California. Its systems are deployed in automotive crash testing, aerospace validation, fluid dynamics research, materials science, and sports broadcast. Clients include NASA, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, and the NFL.
